These terms apply to your use of domehelmet.net and to enquiries made through it. They are not the contract for building works — that is a separate written agreement, described in section 5 below.

1. Who we are

domehelmet.net is operated by Dome Helmet Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11576128, registered office 2-4 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1NR, VAT registration number GB 123 4567 89.

You can contact us through the enquiry form on our website or by post at Dome Helmet Limited, 2-4 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1NR. We do not operate a public telephone line or mailbox.

2. Using this website

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• submit false information, or another person's details without their permission;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system;
• introduce any virus, trojan, worm or other malicious code, or launch a denial-of-service attack;
• use automated means to scrape, harvest or submit to the site, other than by a well-behaved search engine crawler.

We may withdraw or restrict access to the site at any time, and we may report unlawful use to the relevant authorities.

3. Accuracy of information on this site

The content of this website is provided for general information about our services. Timescales, durations, project descriptions and any indicative figures shown are illustrative — they describe the kind of work we do and are not a quotation, an offer, or a guarantee of what your project will cost or how long it will take.

Photographs on this site are representative images and, unless specifically captioned otherwise, should not be taken as photographs of a particular completed project. We make no warranty that the site's content is complete, accurate or up to date.

4. Enquiries

Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract between us and places neither party under any obligation. We aim to respond within one working day, but we do not guarantee a response and we may decline to quote for any project without giving a reason.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. Personal data in an enquiry is handled as set out in our privacy policy.

5. Quotations and building contracts

Any quotation we issue is an invitation to treat, not a binding offer, and remains valid for 90 days from its date unless it states otherwise.

A contract for building works comes into existence only when a written contract or accepted written quotation has been signed by both parties. That document, together with the drawings and specification it refers to, governs the works — including price, payment stages, programme, variations, defects and warranties — and it takes precedence over anything on this website.

Quotations are given on the basis of the information available at the time. Where works are priced against drawings, changes to those drawings, conditions that could not reasonably have been foreseen (for example concealed structural defects, unrecorded services or unexpected ground conditions), or delays caused by third parties may affect the price or the programme. Any such change will be agreed in writing before the additional work is carried out.

6. Your cancellation rights as a consumer

Where you are a consumer and we agree a contract with you away from our business premises — which is usually the case for domestic building work — you have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason.

To cancel, tell us in writing before the 14 days expire — either through the enquiry form on our website or by post to Dome Helmet Limited, 2-4 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1NR. We will refund all payments received within 14 days of being told.

If you ask us in writing to begin work during the cancellation period and then cancel, you must pay for what has been supplied up to the point of cancellation, in proportion to the full contract price.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, layout, graphics, photographs and code — is owned by or licensed to Dome Helmet Limited and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, republish, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the site without our prior written permission.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for any breach of the terms implied by sections 49 to 52 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, we exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms that might otherwise be implied into your use of this website, and we will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of anticipated savings arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site.

Our liability in respect of building works is governed by the written building contract for those works, not by these terms.

We are not liable for the content of any third-party website linked from this site.

9. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, tell us through the enquiry form on our website or by post to Dome Helmet Limited, 2-4 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1NR. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and give a full response within 21 days.

If we cannot resolve matters between us, disputes arising from a building contract may be referred to the alternative dispute resolution or adjudication scheme identified in that contract. This does not affect your right to take court proceedings.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page. The version in force is the one published here when you use the site. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.

11. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or their subject matter, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
